2026 Annual Conference:
6th Annual Meme Contest

Open Date: June 1, 2026

Deadline: 11:59 PM PST, Tuesday, June 30, 2026

Meme submissions do not necessarily reflect the views of NCTA or the NCTA Governing Council.

Instructions:

  1. Create an original testing meme about testing life as a testing professional, testing integrity, or other related topics.

  2. Memes should be funny, humorous, and G-rated.

  3. No mean, disparaging, or vulgar memes will be accepted.

  4. Do not break any copyright laws.

  5. Meme images should be created with Creative Commons, Pexels.com, or original images.

  6. Only NCTA members can submit memes and can submit up to two memes each.

  7. Submitting a meme constitutes agreement to let NCTA use your meme for entertainment, promotional, and marketing purposes. Memes will be utilized at NCTA conferences as well as other places deemed appropriate.

  8. By submitting a meme, you understand and agree to the rules of the contest.

  10. Be sure to save and send your meme before the deadline of 11:59 PM PST, Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Prize:

First prize is a $50 VISA gift certificate. Other prizes may be awarded.


How to create a meme:

1.  Use a meme generator such as:

    1. http://memegenerator.net/
    2. https://www.kapwing.com/meme-maker
    3. https://www.canva.com/create/memes/
    4. Or another favorite of your choice

2.  Create your own in an image editor such as Paint, Publisher, PowerPoint, Photoshop, etc.

      1. Images from Creative Commons: If you use Google Images, click on the “Tools” towards the top center of the screen, click on Usage Rights, and choose Creative Commons Licenses.
      2. Images from Pexels.com.
      3. Use your own photo, or if you use the photo from a friend, colleague, or family member, make sure you have asked for permission.

3.  Be sure to save and send your meme before the deadline of 11:59 PM PST, Tuesday, June 20, 2026.


Blind Judging:

  1. There will be a meme judging panel of five NCTA member volunteers.
  2. Judges’ decisions are final.
