The Professional Standards and Guidelines for Post-Secondary Test Centers, as adopted by the National College Testing Association (NCTA), are intended to serve as a model for institutional test centers in the delivery of quality testing services. The Standards and Guidelines have been reviewed and revised by professional organizations and by representatives from several test companies.

By subscribing, you are stating that you will review facilities and procedures used on your campus and voluntarily abide by the Standards and Guidelines to the best of your ability. Recognizing that there are no perfect test centers, this endorsement is intended to encourage test administrators to use the information in the Standards and Guidelines to improve what they can on their own, and if necessary, to approach the administration on their campuses about improving facilities and procedures. Endorsement of the Standards and Guidelines indicates recognition of the necessary components of excellence for test centers and a willingness to work toward better testing conditions for examinees, even if complete compliance with every item in the document is not possible.
