The Membership Engagement Division focuses on the current NCTA membership with the purpose of increasing networking opportunities, developing the talent and leadership pool, supporting NCTA membership, and promoting a sense of ownership and belonging within the organization. It encompasses the following committees:

Awards and Recognition

The Awards and Recognition Committee invites nominations for the Service and Leadership, Volunteer of the Year, New Professionals, Outstanding Program/Innovation and Lifetime Achievement awards, along with managing the annual Service Recognition Awards. The Committee also works to promote recognition of our members for their work on behalf of NCTA and in the field of testing in general, partially with the Shout Out Quarterly Recognition included in the NCTA Newsletter.

Mailing List

The Mailing List volunteer is charged with advising the mailing list when necessary, posting items of general interest such as job notices, reminding members how to join/un-subscribe, and informing users about general list etiquette.

Connections and Collaborations Volunteer (CCV)

The CCV, formerly known as Membership Initiatives, is responsible for Testing Professional Week, which is held the first week of May to foster engagement.

Mentorship Program

The Mentorship Program connects testing professionals that are new to the field or transitioning to a new role with testing mentors.

The mentor and new testing professional pairs will be encouraged to check in with one another at least once a month over a one-year time span. The committee will be providing discussion topics and support throughout the year.

Social Media is charged with increasing online presence and membership engagement on social medial.  The program is active on X, Linkedin and Facebook.
