What are Special Interest Groups (SIGs)?

Special Interest Groups are a place for NCTA members to come together through common interests in ways that support the NCTA mission, vision, and goals. SIGS are built around identified needs and special interests of testing professionals and are intended to provide an opportunity for members to access information and resources in a specific subject matter.

Active Special Interest Groups

Emergency Planning
The SIG Emergency Planning focuses on gathering and sharing information regarding emergencies that may arise within or around the testing center. This includes but is not limited to the testing location, the test takers, exam software, or external factors.

Management
The NCTA Special Interest Group (SIG) for Management serves as a dedicated space for testing professionals in leadership roles to collaborate, share best practices, and navigate the complexities of managing testing centers. This SIG focuses on topics such as staffing, budgeting, strategic planning, compliance, and operational efficiency. Through discussions, resource sharing, and professional development opportunities, members gain valuable insights to enhance their leadership skills and improve testing services at their institutions.
